HAYM is a homeware, lifestyle, and gift shop based in the heart of Carnoustie, a seaside town on the East Coast of Scotland. Founded in 2021, the shop was created to showcase the incredible talent of local Scottish artists, designers, and makers, while also curating sought-after brands from further afield. Every collection is chosen with care, blending contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship.
Our philosophy is simple: a home should be a treasure chest of living. At HAYM, we believe that beautiful design should also be meaningful, sustainable, and reflective of individual style.
Our Story
HAYM was born from the passion and expertise of our founder, Janice Reid. With a background in architecture and a specialisation in sustainable residential design, Janice has always been inspired by the connection between people, homes, and the way we live.
Her journey began at the renowned Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, where she developed her creative skills and eye for detail. After years of working in architecture, Janice turned her love for family, home, and design into a new venture: a carefully curated shop where every piece has a story.
From day one, HAYM has reflected her commitment to thoughtful living, sustainability, and creativity.
