August, Unboxed

There has been a steady stream of boxes arriving at HAYM lately, bringing new names, new designs, returning favourites and plenty of fresh finds to the shelves.

August can be a bit of an in-between month - we're still holding onto summer, starting to look towards autumn and, believe it or not, the first Christmas deliveries are already beginning to arrive behind the scenes! Don't worry, we're not putting the decorations up just yet. šŸŽ„

So rather than choosing a seasonal theme for this month's What to Shop at HAYM, we thought we'd give you a proper look at what's new instead.

From jewellery and colourful knitwear to local artwork, quirky gifts and some very lovely new homeware, here's what's just landed...

✨ New & Shiny

We've welcomed a completely new jewellery brand to HAYM - Flax Barn.

Designed for real life, their jewellery is made from durable stainless steel and PVD plated with gold, making it waterproof, tarnish-resistant and hypoallergenic. In other words, it's jewellery you don't have to keep taking off - wear it in the shower, swimming or on holiday without worrying about it.

We've also topped up our popular Mica Peet jewellery, with more of the colourful stud earrings and necklaces you already love, plus a new hanging hoop version for something a little different.

šŸ’Œ Guaranteed Giggles

Another new name at HAYM is Stoats & Weasels, a Brighton-based greeting card studio combining colourful illustrations, clever wordplay and a never-grow-up sense of humour.

From sweet and silly to just a little bit saucy, these are cards designed to make people laugh - and we've had great fun choosing them!

Whether you need a birthday card, something for a special occasion or simply spot one that reminds you immediately of someone, there are plenty of new designs to browse.

šŸ” Fresh for the Home

There have been some particularly lovely homeware deliveries lately.

šŸŽ Little Treats & Easy Gifts

Sometimes you don't need a big present - just a little something that says exactly what you want it to.

New GNAW milk chocolate bars make that particularly easy, with Happy Birthday, Thank You, Smile, Bee Happy and Love You wrappers ready to do the talking.

We've also welcomed new soaps and lip balms from Glasgow Soap Co., with some brilliantly quirky scents inspired by everything from whisky and Strawberry Daiquiri to a Scottish favourite... Bucky!

Perfect for birthdays, thank yous, little pick-me-ups or those handy gifts you keep tucked away for when you suddenly need one.

🧣 Looking Ahead to AW26

We're definitely not wishing summer away, but we couldn't resist giving you a little peek at what's coming for autumn and winter.

Lyndsey Currie is another brand-new name at HAYM, bringing her colourful handmade knitted accessories to the shop.

Lyndsey creates headbands, mitts, snoods and neckties using beautiful colour combinations that make wrapping up for cooler days considerably more appealing.

The woolly hats can wait a little longer - but a colourful headband or necktie might come in handy sooner than we'd like to admit!

And finally, some of our favourite new arrivals have come from much closer to home.

We're delighted to welcome local artist Lindabee to HAYM. Her distinctive artwork celebrates familiar local scenes and landmarks using a unique combination of ink and collage, available as both cards and prints.

We've also expanded our Heather & Haggis Carnoustie range. Alongside the mugs, coasters and prints already in the shop, we now have greeting cards featuring their typography designs listing familiar Carnoustie places and landmarks.

And there are new Carnoustie magnets too - perfect for visitors looking for a little reminder of their trip, or locals who simply love where they live.

Come and See What's New

One of our favourite things about HAYM is that the shelves never stay the same for long.

Some of these arrivals are completely new names, others are fresh designs from makers you already know and love, and a few are old favourites we've been very happy to welcome back.

And with more autumn/winter stock on its way - plus those Christmas boxes quietly beginning to pile up behind the scenes - there's plenty more still to come.

So even if you've visited us recently, there's a good chance you'll spot something you haven't seen before. Pop into the shop for a browse or take a look online - we'll keep the Christmas decorations safely packed away for a little while longer! šŸŽ„
