Loch & Loom is a small, handmade brand created by me, Helen Rice. My inspiration comes from a deep love of Scotland - its history, heritage, and traditional craftsmanship.

While I have had a passion for creating for as long as I can remember, it was a trip to the Outer Hebrides several years ago that sparked my obsession with Harris Tweed®. Drawn to its rich textures, incredible depth of colour, and the unique story behind the cloth, I bought a bundle of off-cuts from a shop in Stornoway and was instantly hooked.

Every Loch & Loom piece I make is carefully handcrafted with close attention to detail. I believe these beautiful textiles deserve to be celebrated, so I design my bags and accessories to be used and treasured for years to come.

I am based near Dundee on Scotland’s east coast. I travel around Scotland with my 2 Golden Retrievers as much as I can, and return to Lewis and Harris whenever possible.
